#ProjectMoonlite
My name is Aaron Michael Finklea
And in December 2018, I started a project. I wanted to spread resources and awareness on the topics of Suicide and Mental Health.The reason why I wanted to do this was, that in January 2018, I lost three friends to suicide in less than 5 days.During this time I didn’t know what to do. Suicide was real to me but, it never impacted me.So since then, I’ve been educating myself on these topics and it’s led me to start a nonprofit.#ProjectMoonliteWhat #ProjectMoonlite does is make content for social media platforms to use as a resource to spread awareness and to start the conversation about these topics. So that we together can shine the light on the darkness of Suicide and Mental Health. And understand what people experience in their everyday lives.Our goal is to have these conversations to prove that You Are Not Alone.Because Your Lite Matters
January 28, 2018 I found out that one of my classmates (Tommy Wogan) had committed suicide. The next day on the 29th I was told that another classmate (Andy Clark) had committed suicide. January 30, 2018 this video was made.
14 hours after this video was made I was told that another classmate (Steven Jervis) committed suicide.
I lost another classmate (Jasey Treadway) later that year to a car accident on August 25, 2018. This was my second loss from a car accident. The year prior I lost a classmate (Mason Baker) to a car accident on June 25, 2017.In my heart I knew I wanted and needed to do something so I just went for it and I made this video with some friends on December 19, 2018

On November 14, 2020We Ran to Pay tribute to Tommy Wogan, Andy Clark, Steven Jervass and Krisshauna Moore who all lost their Lives to Suicide.
